STR gets a railway station in Hyderabad!

Simbu has quietly left Chennai for a month and is in Hyderabad shooting for hisVaalu.

Vaalu is said to be a rollicking romantic comedy directed by debutante director Vijay Chander. It has Silambarasan and Hansika Motwani in the lead along with Santhanam. The film has music by Thaman.

Vaalu unit waited almost a month to get a railway station in Tamil Nadu to shoot for the film. In the film all the drama and action revolves around a railway station as the hero’s father is a railway station master. But Southern Railways could not provide him with a railway station for the shoot.

Finally Simbu, through South Central Railways has managed to get a real railway station near Hyderabad for the shoot of the film. One of the conditions was that the railway station would be given only for a limited time and the unit has to complete all the scenes at the railway station in the schedule.

So the Vaalu unit is going on a war footing shooting at the railway station and all artist including the very busy Santhanam and Hansika have rescheduled their dates to complete the film.

STR will be in Hyderabad till middle of August and he wants to complete theentire talkie portion of the film by then. Vaalu is scheduled to release forDiwali 2012.

Simbu loves Ajith's Billa 2

It's not just common people who are fans of Thala Ajith, it seems. Simbu is a hardcore fan and just like any other fan, he too caught up with Billa 2 on the first day of the film.

Simbu Romancing with Six Heoines in Next Movie

Even as Simbu is busy with his present commitments Vettai Mannan, Vaalu and Podaa Podi, the actor is simultaneously working on his dream project, Manmadhan 2. While Kollywood is abuzz with reports that he has got A R Rahman on board to do the music for the film, we now hear that he's narrowing down on the list of his heroines as well. A source reveals, "According to the present script, Simbu has six heroines. And each one will have a specific characteristic. The team is chalking out a list of heroines who would fit the role to the T. Some of the names being tossed around are that of Anushka, Tamannaah, Trisha and Ileana. However. the actresses haven't been approached yet. Once Simbu finishes work on other projects, a final decision will be arrived upon." Manmadhan 2 is a sequel to Simbu's earlier hit Manmadhan, and had Jothika, Sindhu Tolani, and Mandira Bedi in the lead.
